The membership of the advisory group is comprised of subject-matter experts from a broad spectrum of disciplines, healthcare settings and services, in both human and animal health. Subcommittees meet to coordinate statewide antimicrobial stewardship and healthcare-associated infections prevention activities.

Antimicrobial Stewardship

The purpose of this subcommittee is to promote, through a targeted approach, antimicrobial stewardship principles and practices among providers and consumers.

Pharmacy Antibiotic Stewardship Taskforce

The purpose of this subcommittee is to educate and incorporate community pharmacies and patients to promote appropriate antimicrobial prescribing throughout the state of Kansas.
