The Advisory Group is co-led by the
Kansas Department of Health and Environment's (KDHE)
Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance Program and the
Kansas Foundation for Medical Care (KFMC). The membership of the advisory group is comprised of subject-matter experts from a broad spectrum of disciplines, healthcare settings and services, in both human and animal health. Subcommittees meet to coordinate statewide antimicrobial stewardship and healthcare-associated infections prevention activities.
The purpose of this subcommittee is to promote, through a targeted approach, antimicrobial stewardship principles and practices among providers and consumers.
The purpose of this subcommittee is to educate and incorporate community pharmacies and patients to promote appropriate antimicrobial prescribing throughout the state of Kansas.
